Frank Dininno

Frank Dininno lived and worked in Sewickley from 1960 until his death in the early 1980s. He was a prolific artist, creating many paintings, drawings and prints throughout his career. His work, often described as surrealist-symbolist, offers robust shapes and brilliant colors. The strong use of personal imagery and a limited use of perspective characterize his canvases. A large collection of works by Frank Dininno was graciously gifted to Sweetwater in 2019 by Luke Ward. Sweetwater has several pieces from this collection for sale. Please contact Gallery Manager for details. Melancholy, oil on canvas, 1976, was purchased from Luke Wards collection and donated to Sweetwater’s Permanent Collection by long time supporters, Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Hetherington in 2019.
