Born in Nebraska and raised in Kansas, Falk moved with his family to Phoenix, AZ in 1959 and has been working and creating mixed media art in Phoenix since 1984. He employs a variety of methods and media (painting, drawing, collage/decollage, glue, paper, wood, assemblage/construction, canvas and more). He finds it important to use the “materials at hand” when making art as a philosophical approach. A work of art is the sum of it’s parts and these include paint, paper, pencil, as well as the life experiences of the artist making it. Intelligent Design was part of Sweetwater’s Poetic Logic exhibition in 2016.
