Polly Mullins Memorial Education Endowed Fund The Polly Mullins Memorial Fund honors the life and legacy of Sewickley artist, educator, and community leader Polly Mullins, whose passion for creativity, learning, and service shaped Sweetwater Center for the Arts. A talented artist and devoted teacher, Polly inspired countless students and helped guide Sweetwater’s mission as a Board member and children’s art instructor. Today, the fund continues her dedication to accessible arts education, supporting programs in ceramics, drawing, painting, metalsmithing, fiber, and more, ensuring her spirit of curiosity and artistic excellence endures. Singer Family Creative Endowed Fund For generations, the Singer family has championed the transformative power of the arts, fostering creativity that builds community and leaves a lasting legacy. The Singer Family Creative Fund, established by Anna Singer—renowned opera singer, painter, and WQED-FM announcer—honors her parents, Harton (“Red”) and Patty Singer, founding members of Sweetwater Center for the Arts. Each year, the fund awards a $2,500 grant to a dedicated member of Sweetwater’s Artist Member Initiative (SAMI), supporting artistic projects, professional development, and opportunities that advance creative growth. The Hart Family Emerging Artist Endowed Scholarship Within the pillar of art education, The Hart Family Emerging Artist Endowed Scholarship opens doors for middle and high school students with talent, drive, and vision who may otherwise face barriers to pursuing their art. Each year, this scholarship empowers two young artists from low-income or marginalized communities to take meaningful steps toward their creative dreams.
