PITTSBURGH — Based in Sewickley, Sweetwater Center for the Arts hosts a variety of programs and exhibits highlighting regional artists with a focus on art education and development for children and adults.
Sweetwater offers nearly 400 classes, workshops and lectures annually benefiting children, teens and adults at every skill level.
Classes offered include: ceramics/sculpture, cooking, drawing, painting, photography, jewelry and metalsmithing, fiber arts, traditional crafts and private music lessons.
Through gallery exhibitions, educational programs and fundraising events, Sweetwater supports over 300 emerging and professional artists, musicians and teachers throughout the region annually.
Executive Director Thomas Walters recently appeared on “Marketplace Pittsburgh” to discuss the diverse programs Sweetwater offers.
