Modern Rituals: artist in residency show by Ali Pirl
THE OLIVER FAMILY LOBBY & GALLERY
June 4 – July 16
Modern Rituals is the culmination of a three-month ceramic residency at Sweetwater Center for the Arts by artist AliPirl.
These pieces present ceramics as memory, as rupture, as ritual. Made in the shadow of ongoing violence in Palestine and drawing from Jewish papercutting traditions, this work wrestles with questions of faith and complicity.
