The Luminary Society

Begin Your Donor Membership

The Luminary Society is at the forefront of the advancement of Sweetwater Center for the Arts. The Society was established to:

  • Develop a base of support for the center
  • Cultivate and engage donors
  • Advance Sweetwater’s mission to enrich the lives of the community we serve

The generosity of The Luminary Society will provide critical support for art education and cultural programming, cultivation and fostering of local artist talent, and access to art for a diverse audience.

Membership in the Luminary Society is based on annual donations to Sweetwater Center for the Arts. Membership lasts 12 months from the date the qualifying donation amount is received. Gifts may be donated annually, pledged, or paid over a 12-month period with monthly contributions.

Membership will be based on your annual contribution to The Luminary Society. In contrast, you can also forgo the discount benefits of a Sweetwater membership and receive the full tax deduction of your gift.

The future of Sweetwater is bright! With your generous support, we look forward to advancing our mission to create a brighter future for the community we serve.

The Luminary Society 2025 Donor Experiences

All Luminary Society levels are eligible to participate. Bronze, Silver and Gold members can contribute an additional $50 per person for up to two people per year. Platinum members receive two complimentary spaces for one experience and can contribute additionally for two additional spaces. As space is limited, we ask you to pick one experience to participate in each year.

Do you know the difference between a Macaron and a Macaroon? Whether you do or not, you’ll learn how to master both of these iconic French desserts. In this class we will focus on measuring in grams, toasting, sifting, piping, and dropping. You’ll also learn the techniques to create the perfect meringue, buttercream, and chocolate ganache.

Generously hosted at the home of board member Barbara Cooley Thaw.

Anne Dickson established Fox and Fleur in 2016 out of a desire to bring elemental beauty into people’s lives. She and her team are seasoned professionals working with the city’s top planners and event vendors.

Memberships are valid for one calendar year from the date of purchase. Memberships are non-refundable.
