Learn the skills that go into spray painted murals and graffiti from two of Pittsburgh’s most prominent artists, Max GEMS Gonzales and Shane Pilster of Do What We Love!. Anyone from our community is welcome to drop in and add to the collaborative mural with non-hazardous, water-based spray paint. The outline will be laid down on a massive vinyl banner. Our guest artists will ask you to help them fill in the mural with content while giving you step by step instructions on the process. You’ll learn how to create lettering, characters, shading and more, all with spray paint.
Funded by the Heinz Endowment, this workshop is free to the public, for children ages 4 through 104!
