Fundraising with a new Taste!
Sweetwater Center for the Arts is kicking off a new fundraising effort. The Art of Cooking is a fundraising series of live, in-person cooking classes taught by local chefs in our community. Meet up with some of your favorite chefs and cook one of their favorite meals. This is surely to be your favorite.. or FLAVORite fundraiser ever. Chef Julio Peraza from Torogoz Contemporary Latin Cookery, Chefs Jennie & Mike Mudungo, owners of Bridgeside Market, Chef Chandler Klein from The Hotel and Rosa’s Cantina, and Chef Merrie O’Donnell from The Merrie Chef will teach delicious dishes to a small group of guests in an intimate setting.

Sunday, September 11th: 6pm – 8pm: Julio Peraza from Torogoz Contemporary Latin Cookery
Register: Chef Peraza’s experience is as much influenced by his stops in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles as it is by the food from his home country, El Salvador. Spend an evening creating flavorful dishes and getting to know Chef Peraza before he opens his restaurant right here in Sewickley!
Sunday, October 16th: 6pm – 8pm: Chandler Klein from The Hotel and Rosas Cantina
Register: Fresh from the kitchen at The Hotel and Rosas Cantina, spend an evening creating homemade, mouthwatering gnocchi from Chef Klein. Spice or no spice, the dinner that you create will make you want to pack your sacks and hit the trail!
Sunday, November 6th: 6pm – 8pm: Jennie and Mike Modugno from Bridgeside Market
Register: Jennie and Mike Modugno are well known in the community for serving delicious food and selling authentic Italian products. They will captivate you with how to create some of their favorite homemade, family friendly Italian specialties.
Sunday, November 20th: 6pm – 8pm: Merrie O’Donnell from The Merrie Chef
Register: Merrie O’Donnell is the smiling face behind The Merrie Chef based in Sewickley, PA. With more than 20 years of experience as a restauranteur, caterer, and personal chef she started to offer personalized meal plans for delivery. She specializes in creating delicious meals for clients with strict dietary needs and bringing people together through their love of good food.
