Mavuno Festival 2022

A display of African American art and culture in the community, Mavuno was created 26 years ago by Black artists and educators in Sewickley to celebrate African American creativity, experience, and talent in our region and beyond. The overarching goal of this event is inclusivity of all people, highlighting the significance and achievements of Black, Indigenous, People of Color.

We are currently seeking BIPOC artists, vendors, and small business owners to participate in our Mavuno Festival on Saturday September 17th from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. to sell their goods.

This years festival will be organized by Day Bracey.

The festival will be located at Sewickley’s Riverfront Park, 300 Chadwick Street, Sewickley, PA 15143 and is FREE and open to the public.

This outdoor festival will showcase regional BIPOC owned businesses, artists and vendors.

$1,000 Sponsors an event.
$750 Covers building operational costs, upkeep, and preservation.
$500 Provides technology updates and improvements.
$400 Aids Outreach Programs for at-risk youth and underserved communities.
$250 Sponsors a teaching artist.
$100 Supports the purchases of ceramic studio glazes and supplies.
$50 Provides one art supply package for classes and workshops.
