LISTEN: Poetry Reading

Join us to hear the words and expressions of poets from the (sub)Verses Social Collective. This group of Black female writers will share their writings, offer a literary history lecture, and be available to discuss their works individually with the audience. Don’t miss the chance to LISTEN to these voices that are so often not heard. Refreshments will be served.

Presented in conjunction with Sweetwater’s annual MAVUNO Festival of African American Art and Culture. This poetry reading is free and open to the public.

When you or a family member is looking to take an art class, view an exhibition, or attend a cultural event, where do you turn? If you're like most in our community, you go to Sweetwater Center for the Arts.
