Tammy Mignanelli is an artist from Beaver, Pennsylvania who is best known for her two-dimensional architectural drawings and her three-dimensional functional ceramic vessels. Prior to teaching at Sweetwater Center for the Arts, Tammy was once a student herself. Tammy now teaches both adults and children in Sweetwater’s ceramics studio.
Tammy is a former graphic designer for the Beaver County Times and has taken her passion for detailed compositions and oriental art into mastering decorative hand-painted designs on her ceramic bottles. Tammy uses a variety of hand-building techniques to create textured slabs to make one-of-a-kind olive oil bottles that are exclusively sold at Two Rivers Olive Oil Company in Beaver, PA.
Originally from Scottdale, PA, Tammy is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Beaver, PA with her husband. You may see Tammy around Beaver County taking photos of homes and historic buildings that she then sketches to create custom fabric pillows for Kathleen’s on 3rd, a home décor and antique shop in Beaver, PA.
