Lena Lengyel

Lena is an experienced local artist. She has a Bachelors of Art degree from Bethany College. Primarily self taught in various artistic mediums, Lena has a life long passion for the arts and has been drawing and painting since she was old enough to hold a paint brush. She is currently a painting and drawing instructor at Sweetwater Center for the arts and a member of the West Hills Art League. She also owns her own private painting party business and offers students of all ages private lessons in acrylic painting, drawing mediums, collage and mixed media. Having lived the Caribbean for 5 years on the island of St. Thomas, Lena’s love for vibrant colors and textured mixed media grew, her colorful impressionistic style is influenced by what she learned and observed from many of the local island artists.

$1,000 provides enough materials to fund a semester-long community outreach program.
$500 allows two senior citizens to take an oil painting class.
$250 provides enough clay for every student in an 8-week ceramics class.
$200 will send a child to summer camp for a week.
$100 provides the food for a culinary workshop.
$50 provides materials for two weeks of painting camps.
