Jared Cullum


Jared Cullum is a cartoonist-writer and painter of things living in Pittsburgh with a deep passion for connecting with people through visual story-telling.

He is currently writing and painting on a graphic novel for Top Shelf Productions and drawing journal comics occasionally that you can find at You're a Good Bear, Bear. He has also written and painted stories for Boom!-Archaia and Jim Henson Studios working on titles such as: Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Fraggle Rock and Storyteller.

For the past few years, Jared has taught observational watercolor sketching and Anatomy at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond and just recently began teaching at Sweetwater Center for the Arts here in Pittsburgh. You may see Jared and Sweetwater students around Sewickley this Spring during the Travel Journal: Plein-Air watercolor class.

In addition, he recently started a YouTube channel to teach traditional painting growth and application into comics and illustration.
