METALSMITHING
TC01, TC02
Ages 16 & up

Students will be taught basic metal forming techniques as well as stone setting and design. Two projects will be completed: first, a simple hammered cuff bracelet with a stone setting; then a more intricate bracelet of the artist’s own design. The class will be able to study several of the artist’s own pieces, some of which have won recognition for unique design quality. Students will be taught how to order metal on the first day of class.

WIRE WRAPPING WORKSHOP
TC04
Ages 16 & up

Students will create two exquisite pieces of jewelry with sterling silver or gold filled wire and gemstones, while learning to work in wire. First, students will learn basic wire-working principles with a sterling silver, hammered and coil bangle. Finally, students will learn to wrap objects such as cameos, stone cabochons and beads to make unique necklaces. Materials can be purchased from the instructor and will cost approximately $35.

Die Formed Brooches by Adrienne Grafton

DIE FORMING
TC04
Ages 16 & up

In this class, students will create their own unique dies by saying plexiglass Using a hydraulic press, sheet metal will then be formed into these dies. The forms are then further personalized with texturizing techniques and piercing. Soldering techniques will be used to attach a pin back or a bail. All levels are welcome. Materials for the first day of class may be purchased from the instructor for approximately $10-$15. At the first class, students will be taught how to order metal for the remaining two classes.

Kum Boo Earrings & Brooch by Adrienne Grafton

KUM BOO TECHNIQUES
TC06
Ages 16 & up

If you're interested in giving the surface of your jewelry that extra bling, then this workshop is for you! Students will learn kum boo, a Korean surface embellishment technique that involves fusing 24k gold gold foil to a fine silver surface. Jewelry fabrication processes, as well as the kum boo technique will be demonstrated. Students should bring 22 gauge sterling silver to fabricate with. Gold foil may be purchased from the instructor for aproximately $20 depending on usage.

STERLING SILVER RINGS
TC07
Ages 16 & up

This workshop will introduce students to metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, soldering, forming and surface embellishment with tools and hammers. By combining these techniques, each student will create their own sterling silver ring. Materials may be purchased from the instructor at the beginning of class for approximately $10-$20.
