Art Education Intern
Sweetwater Center for the Arts seeks enthusiastic, responsible and focused college students to assist with our summer art camps.
Sweetwater provides interns with an exciting and rewarding atmosphere, where they will gain valuable experience working in a nonprofit environment. This is an excellent opportunity for interns to establish references and build their resumes in education.
Duties include assisting instructors with children's summer camps, on and off site, and may also include assisting staff in numerous areas. Special projects will be given based on intern's strengths, as well as the needs of Sweetwater.
Applicants must be a current student studying Elementary Education, Art Education or a similar major, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, enjoy working with children, eager to learn and have a strong work ethic.
Summer interns will receive a stipend. This internship offers great experience in the areas of arts and education. Interns also receive one free class of their choosing at Sweetwater (private art and music lesson excluded). Schedule is flexible; however, summer interns must be available during the day.
To apply, please mail or email a cover letter and resume to Julie Domineck, Outreach Coordinator, Sweetwater Center for the Arts, 200 Broad Street, Sewickley, PA 15143.
