NOW HIRING: Event and Exhibition Coordinator (FULL-TIME)

Sweetwater Center for the Arts, a non-profit art center located in Sewickley, is now hiring a full-time Event and Exhibition Coordinator. Primary responsibilities include the development, coordination and evaluation of Sweetwater's special events and exhibitions, including fundraising events, opening receptions, annual Holiday mART, Art Brew and music festivals; develops and maintains documentation of events, including but not limited to mailing lists, brochures, attendance tracking, and evaluations; manages event budgets; coordinates committee work; organizes and curates exhibitions with artists and groups; manages exhibition contracts and sales; maintains databases; sets guidelines for artist submissions; creates exhibition labels/copy for print and website.

Qualifications: Applicant must be detail-oriented, organized and possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and have basic computer knowledge (MS Office knowledge required). Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to think creatively are essential to this position. Exhibition installation experience is preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and training is required. Arts-related degree and/or experience are mandatory.

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; additional hours may be required; schedule may vary pending events

NOW HIRING: PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST

Sweetwater Center for the Arts, a non-profit art center located in Sewickley, is hiring a part-time receptionist. Primary responsibilities include maintaining a presence at the front desk, providing excellent customer service, fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing customers with a positive attitude, assisting instructors, setting up for classes, filing and data entry.

Qualifications: applicant must be responsible, organized, possess strong interpersonal skills and have basic computer knowledge.

Education: completion of high school; pursuance of college degree an asset. This position is ideal for individuals who are currently in college and/or looking for a part-time job to supplement their income. Compensation is $9.00/hour and hours range from 10-15 hrs/week.

Schedule includes but is not limited to:
Thursday evenings
Alternating Friday & Saturday shifts

Culinary Instructors (applications accepted on a rolling basis)

Sweetwater seeks culinary instructors to teach adult and children's cooking classes during the weekdays and evenings and some Saturdays.  Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or an associate's degree in culinary arts or related field.  Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.  Applicants applying to teach childrens classes must have Act 151, 34 & 114 Clearances.  Please send a cover letter, resume including two professional references & class proposals.
